This may involve facing our own sexual wounds and becoming aware of our own polarized values and beliefs around sexuality.

      • Basic knowledge and skills of 'Intimacy from the Inside Out'
      • Identifying your own protective and vulnerable parts that are activated when discussing relationships and sexual themes with clients
      • Applying IFIO techniques in your work with couples
      • Experiencing how gender informs and shapes our sexuality
      • About the role of polarizations in sexuality
      • Techniques for discussing sexuality in couples therapy
      • How sexual abuse and sexual wounds influence individual sexuality and that within the relationship
      • Understanding circumstances that affect clients' willingness and ability to talk about sexual themes
      • Exploring developmental themes around sexuality
      • Dealing with erotic transference and countertransference that may arise in therapeutic relationships
      • Recognizing parts that inhibit and accelerate the sexual process
      • Practicing specific interventions in guiding couples in communication about sex, both in sessions and at home
